Unboxing: Chanel shoes, Sarah Ashcroft X Off Dutee and more...

Unboxing

My favourite blog posts are when bloggers unbox their items and share things they've recently purchased. So after a bit of a spend up last month I thought I'd unbox with you and also share some other little bits I've grabbed along the way...

Sarah Ashcroft X Off Dutee

I was so excited for this collection to launch because Sarah Ashcroft has such great style. If you haven't heard of her she is under the blogging name 'That Pommie Girl' but can be found as Sarah Ashcroft on social media sites.

The packaging was so much fun! Everything was wrapped in tissue paper so it felt special and luxurious. It also came with a letter to say thank you which is always a nice touch.

I loved everything but to save myself a lot of money I narrowed it down to 3 items. I knew I would wear the death out of the 'Sweeter than honey' jogger set.
The top is the most flattering thing I've worn in a while and looks amazing with high waisted jeans. The bottoms are so high waisted they are a god send.. I cant wait to wear them on a Sunday when I'm just wandering about town.
The bomber is the best part because you can personalise it with your name. Things like this are not common for such a good price and its light weight so can be worn throughout Spring or Summer.

Eeek I was so happy to finally own a pair of Chanel trainers. Last year I was planning to get the black and white trainers but they had sold out of my size by the end of summer. I held off buying any online or through sites such as Ebay because I always enjoy the experience of shopping in a Chanel store. I knew the black and white Chanel trainers would be back this summer but when I saw these silver and navy beauties I couldn't say no. I love pieces that are unusual and these suit me down to a T.
The espadrilles are shared with my mum as we both fell in love with those. The silver tipped toes and glittery Chanel logo against a navy canvas was to die for.

I normally shop in Chanel Bond St but this time around I bought them in the Selfridges Chanel because of how rude we were treated in the Bond St store. I sometimes find that if you're not carrying tons of designer shopping bags already that they don't treat you very nicely. So I took my custom back to Selfridges to buy the trainers and espadrilles.

Other bits I've picked up...

I came across this in Superdrug and I've always been so curious to colour correcting. I decided it was a bargain for £6 and set off to give it a go. For anyone wondering what the colours are for:

Pink - Brightens
Lavender - neutralises yellow tones
Green - neutralises redness
Orange - neutralises blue tones
Peach - helps to balance out slight discolouration
White - adds natural highlight and brightens
Cream - neutralises purple & covers dark areas
Brown - balances ashiness in medium to dark skin tones

The thing I really disliked was the fact it didn't come with a guide!? Most people will not remember what these colours are for and some hints and tips would've been amazing to top this product off. The palette is large with a great sized mirror. It doesn't come with an applicator but most things don't.

I used my concealer brush to apply the colours. I used green over any spots or redness I had, I used cream under my eyes and then I used the white to highlight. I personally found the whole thing super difficult. They are a cream consistency that do not set, so I found when I applied my foundation over the top of the colours they just merged or removed them. I did half my face with the correctors and half without but saw little to no difference.

I hope you've enjoyed this post, let me know if you would like more like it! Much love,
