Spring 2016

Spring 2016

I came across the Vogue 2016 Spring forecast whilst in college this week and thought it would be good to share some amazing upcoming looks with you. But seeing as a majority of us cannot afford Alexander McQueen, Tory Burch and Lanven for our everyday wardrobes... I have provided some affordable alternatives too.

Alexander McQueen: Denim is back, again.

Doubling or even tripling denim is set to be the new trend for S/S16. I feel that double denim made its comeback last summer but this year I am sure the trend will reinvent itself to make a bigger impact.

Celine: Silk slip ons

The "silk nightie" trend appears every now and then but isn't a favourite of mine. I feel silk dresses trimmed with lace need to be kept for nightwear only, but hopefully retailers will take their own spin on things and make it more street ready.

Lanvin: Sequins, sequins and more sequins

Yay, the girly glitzy trend is back but I am surprised it is for S/S. I bought myself a few sequinned items over winter for a christmas party or two but thought sequins would end there. Im hoping to see a lot of amazing prom dresses this year or some cute glitzed up shoes.

Tory Burch: Romantic florals

As you all know I am partial to a girly look and I love that the romantic spin is back on clothes. Flowing dresses, floral prints and "running around in a meadow" looking outfits are hard not to love.

Paco Rabanne - Metallics

I really love metallics for spring as its fun and breaks up the floral print. I especially love the idea of a silver bomber jacket but I can't see any around at the moment... Watch this space?

Hugo Boss - Bardot style

I am a huge fan of the Brigitte Bardot look. I love love love it. Especially the off the shoulder trend that has been in stores for a while now. Last summer I got myself a couple of tops from Miss Selfridge and they have become wardrobe staple pieces.

Vetements: Tracksuits are no longer loungewear...

Tracksuits? Fashion? Noooo- YES. They are in fact now a trend and I must admit I love it. I bought myself a gorgeous Wildfox, Adidas & Topshop tracksuit before Christmas with no regrets.
